Summer Reading Program
Looking for a way to make summer reading even more fun for your kids?
It’s easy! Here’s what they need to do:
- Read 10 books this summer
- Write down the names of the books they've read in the Summer Reading Form
- Print and take the form to your nearest TD Bank to get $10
- $10 will be deposited into a new or existing Young Saver Account
Follow these great tips to make summer reading more enjoyable for your child:
- Read the story with your child.
- Encourage your child to say familiar words and phrases out loud.
- Practice sounding out words your child may have difficulty reading.
- Provide the word your child is struggling with so that he or she doesn't become frustrated and lose the enjoyment of the experience.
- Repeat reading the story, asking your child what he or she enjoys most about the story and its characters.
For even more great lessons about money and savings, add these books to your kids' summer reading list!
